Peter Bankov
Graphic Designer, Poster Artist, Educator
Born in Minsk (Belarus) in 1969. Lives and works in Prague (Czech Republic).
Peter Bankov was born into an artistic family. He graduated from the Minsk State Art University in 1988 (sculpture) and from the Moscow State Polygraphic Institute in 1993 (book illustration and design).
He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Russian graphic design magazine kAk, and the founder of the School of Posters based in Prague.
His visual language is defined by expressive collage, experimental typography, and a personal philosophy he describes as “going with the flow.”
Bankov’s posters are known for their immediacy, emotional force, and raw graphic impact.
Over the course of his career, he has created 2,056 posters — each one a unique visual statement reflecting his bold and intuitive design approach.

His work has been exhibited around the world and is included in major collections such as:

Peter Bankov is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) and I-CODE (International Council of Design Educators).

He frequently lectures internationally and serves as a jury member for major poster competitions.
